Waste for final disposal is non-recoverable waste generated from activities other than construction or demolition. All waste for final disposal in landfill must be accompanied by a statement on the landfill acceptability of the waste. Waste loads delivered by truck must also be accompanied by a shipping document.
Items that belong in waste for final disposal include
- ash from incineration plants;
- waste from glass wool production; and
- industrial casting sands and rejects.
